| The mid-day passenger train of the Ba-Shi Railway storms up the stiff 3.9% grade out of Mifengyan behind C2 #09. On this section, the track is built on a shelf far above the valley below. The scenic countryside of Sichuan as seen behind the train drew thousands of tourists to the Shibanxi railway and now has preserved the line while almost every other steam narrow gauge in China has closed. |
