      Remarks & Notes
In order to get to this location one can ride the railroad, a much easier option or drive/hike in on a very narrow, rutted debris strewn path. On this day it was the latter and after watching the steam train pass we waited for the regular passenger run. See here at Fir. In the background the lower track will soon see the arrival of this train with the middle track the former connecting track that allowed the Rio Grande to turn their helpers.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.

Do you ever get the feeling as a model railroader, that you just might be creating something not "prototypical?" Same here.
