Rio Grande's Midvale Tramp local crosses the South Jordan Canal at 22nd West in West Jordan. This was the only time I witnessed this local with a yard goat for power. The setting here is unrecognizable today with new housing bordered by sound walls along UTA's double tracked, concrete tied, welded railed, and catenary equipped light rail route. Admittedly, I really do miss this sleepy old Rio Grande branch reaching west to Bingham Canyon in the Oquirrh Mountains.
