One of my favorite morning locations to set up the tripod and the old war body Nikon F3HP was the east portal of the State Line Tunnel. Patience was eventually rewarded with the gleeful sound of far off horn at Warner's Crossing of a desired eastbound. Anticipation would build with the low approaching rumble of a heavy freight upgrade to the bore. Getting one of the "hunchbacks" on point was a sure way to brighten your day even more. I miss these days something terrible now that CSXT has taken over this line and morning trains like this rarely exist.
