Remarks & Notes

Canadian Pacific's Canadian is westbound on this July day in 1967 with 19 cars in tow past Gap Lake, Alberta. Of interest in the train is the mail box car on the head end added at Calgary for Vancouver. In the background is the Canada Cement plant at Exshaw where you can see the limestone mountain being carved away. Today, that mountain has a much larger scar on it to reflect over 40 years of continuous cement production.
