Remarks & Notes

One of the highlights of Union Pacific's Ogden Subdivision is scenic Bear River Gorge. UP's daily Pocatello, Idaho to Salt Lake City, Utah freight tippy toes onto bridge 45.04 and through 211 ft. Tunnel 15 north of Wheelon, Utah. A pair of 10 degree curves, two curved girder bridges and sheer terrain require a 12 mph maximum speed for all trains between mileposts 44.5 and 46.
