| After a long lull, the sounds of heavy freight have begun to fill the Mohawk Valley as evening descends on Fonda NY. The first westbound to thunder into town is this colorful all EMD powered empty ethanol K409 that will start the parade till dusk. These CP Rail powered "K" trains of ethanol and now oil are a nice photogenic highlight to the Mohawk Sub by the spring 2013. Welcome news for a railroad now largely saturated with dark future GEVOs and GE widecabs day and night. |
