Sunning themselves in Canadian National's yard in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on May 14th, 2013, are a pair of Dash 8-40CW diesels with interesting lineages: CN 2144 was originally Santa Fe 818, and Illinois Central 2459 is the former LMS 732 (LMS units were leased to Conrail, hence the blue paint).
