Remarks & Notes

A stable of Rio Grande tunnel motors await work out of Helper, Utah on March 14, 1999. The UP assigned as many as 18 SD40T-2s to work Helper terminal well into the late 1990s. The 5411, 5405, 5385, and 5342 were on hand for a family portrait on the sanding and fueling tracks.
