| I recently took my daughter to start her college education at Hofstra University, in doing so I was able to add a new railroad to those that I have photographed, the Long Island Railroad. It is my understanding that this is the worlds busiest commuter railroad operating some 745 trains daily. Rush hour was a sight to behold. This is a dual mode locomotive operating here as an electric drawing current from the third rail but also can operate as a more conventional locomotive where ever they have non-electrified lines. |
