| Probably one of the most loved diesel types ever to run on British Rail,the class 52 hydraulic locos were the racehorses of the Western region.D1015 "Western Champion" has undergone an extensive overhaul and made its debut long distance main line trip on the 7th September 2013.The loco is seen here at the head of the Leicester to Weymouth excursion,approaching Ashchurch station in a spell of glorious weather. |
