A truly unique machine, the Haysi 1. A former Clinchfield B-unit that was modified for radio control and was fitted with a control stand inside the unit, and taking it a step further on the unique of the unit, the control stand was built into the conductor's side of the unit. Here, the unit sits just east of the Greenbriar tipple, a tipple that could produce 70 car loads in 100-ton hoppers a day. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by Joe Brockemeyer.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
