Mainline Steam NZ Tour train approaches overnight stop at Napier. The next day Ka 942 would be the only Ka to ever reach Gisborne, just weeks before the world renown Napier - Gisborne section closed after storm damage. Napier rebuilt in fine Art Deco style after being devastated by 1931 earthquake.
