            Remarks & Notes
Climbing the 2.92% grade from the Jordan River trestle, Rio Grande's Midvale Tramp is less than a quarter mile from the mainline connection at the Midvale wye. Today's local has plenty of tonnage on the draw bar including tank cars of sulphuric acid, box cars of copper concentrate, and hopper cars of ballast, interchange received from Kennecott at Magna. Today this right of way features Utah Transit Authority's double track 'Red Line' light rail route to South Jordan.

Cabooses have always been one of my favorite pieces of railroad equipment. This is just a collection of some of the caboose shots on the site.

Things change. Railroads are no different. A collection of images showing the railroads as they used to be.
