    Remarks & Notes
Santa Fe CF7 2601 smacked into something a little hard, as it had extensive front end damage when found on February 7th, 1985, in San Bernardino, California. This damage would prove to be fatal, as the 2601, which was built from Santa Fe F7A 214L by the railroad's Cleburne, Texas, shops, was scrapped in southern California as a result of this accident.
