One last "Dress Blue." In February 2013, NS SD50 5406 (ex-Conrail 6712) was one of the final four Conrail-painted engines that remained on the active NS roster. I was lucky enough to be in central Pennsylvania when the 1983-built EMD product led a loaded steel slab train across the state, seen here passing another Conrail survivor, 1979-built Jordan Spreader 64637, still wearing its original Conrail number.
