Steam Inc excursion from their Paekakariki depot to Masterton via Woodville has just passed through tunnel 1 in the Manawatu Gorge. Photo taken from Highway 3 which clings to the the other side mostly on bridge sections. The line was built with 5 tunnels late 1880's mainly by hand.
