| The LA&SL is known as a very barren line with little online traffic. For the most part this is true, but there are a several spurs around the Las Vegas area that feed the mainline. The longest of these is the Lake Mead Branch. Located about an hour north of Vegas, the 15 mile branch serves a single Gypsum plant in the farming town of Overton. |
