| On Wednesday January 15th the P&N ran a special Make A Wish trip for a little boy who wanted to run a train. So they allowed him to "run" the locomotive while riding in the engineer's lap from Ranlo, NC to Gastonia where he and his family were treated to lunch and Ice Cream at Tony's Ice Cream located beside the P&N tracks. The NCDOT owned caboose was place between the engines to carry the rest of the family. It was a great experience for all involved. The folks at the P&N are a class act. |
