Steam Inc excursion to the annual Napier Art Deco Festival passes through Manawatu Gorge between Palmerston North and Woodville. Napier was rebuilt in Deco architecture after 7.8 earthquake in 1931. Ja 1271 was built by Hillside in Dunedin in 1955-56, among the last steam locomotives built in NZ.
