In a gathering for Trains Magazine’s 50th anniversary, three steam locomotives simmer at the former Frisco Chouteau Yard at St. Louis, Missouri, on June 13, 1990. This view highlights an unusual look at the tenders of Frisco 4-8-2 No. 1522, Norfolk and Western 2-6-6-4 No. 1218 and Union Pacific 4-8-4 No. 844.
