Remarks & Notes

Three EMD GP30s rest inside Cimarron Valley Railroad’s three-track engine shop at Satanta, Kansas, on the morning of March 1, 2000. CVR Nos. 3020 and 3004 (both former Rio Grande of the same road number) bracket Southwestern Railroad No. 4227 inside the spacious shop. Southwestern Railroad is a sister road under the Western Group, hence the “family” paint scheme.
