Patch ’em up and back on the road
On April 14, 2014, BNSF GE C44-9W No. 5404 leads a southbound freight past the TOFC Yard at Denver, Colorado, on the Front Range Subdivision. With as power short as BNSF is, some apparent damage to the pilot and side of the locomotive is quickly repaired, covered in primer and the locomotive is sent back out on the road. Union Pacific’s former Rio Grande North Yard is in the background.
