Following a service stop in Victorville (to lubricate the Big Boy's side rods and generally check everything), the train ferrying the big steamer back to Wyoming passes by the TXI cement plant at Oro Grande, California, on April 28th, 2014. For a few minutes, the bright yellow diesels and cars add a bit of color to the cement gray town situated on historic Route 66.
