Remarks & Notes

On January 4th, 2000, Central Michigan 8801 was involved in a collision with a truck, leaving the locomotive extremely damaged. The locomotive was hauled back to Bay City where it was deemed beyond repair and was parked on the deadline and became a salvage locomotive for parts. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by Bill Clynes.
