Shortly before departure, "Jolly Roger" flags were installed in Santa Fe 3751's flag holders. Perhaps the crew of the big 4-8-4 was planning on doing some pillaging and plundering on the way to Los Angeles! (I wonder if the engineer was seated on the "starboard" side...)
