Remarks & Notes

While the Genesee & Wyoming, Inc. took control of the Utah Railway more than a decade ago, from time to time a pure red and gray locomotive consist comes together. An SD50S, MK50-3, and a GP38-2 pull an RUT611 Provo-Ogden turn on the former D&RGW at Riverton, Utah. The UTAH 6063 was built an SD50S by EMD/Clyde Engineering for Australia's Hamersley Iron Ore in Nov. 1982.
