Remarks & Notes

A Union Pacific SD24 awaits a call in Provo Yard on Sept. 12, 1976. The 2400 HP six axle unit was built by EMD for the UP in Sept. 1959 from a roster of 34 SD24s and 45 SD24Bs. It was retired from service on the UP in June 1983, and sold for scrap to David J. Joseph Co. in Jewett, Texas in February 1986.
