| Late afternoon sunlight illuminates the Mojave Desert as UP 7906 sails down the Mojave Subdivision, just south of Fleta, having just topped the summit of Ansel Hill some 5 miles back. Soon the northbound Z train will be in Mojave and facing the eastern slope of the Tehachapi grade. |
