    Remarks & Notes
Typical power for this non-electrified section of the NJCL (Long Branch to Bay Head) has been GP40PHs and PL42ACs. This, however, is changing with the new 2014 weekend “Shore Express” trains from NYC to Bay Head, which require the use of NJT’s "dual power" ALP-45DP locomotives. This morning “Shore Express” train is pushing south across the Deal Lake causeway as it approaches Asbury Park station.
