| Spent diesel fuel fills the sky as 92 cylinders of EMD 645's battle hard up the 1.0% grade past the NP-era searchlights protecting the control point at West Louisville. The crawl will end in a little over 5 miles, then the task of holding back 7100 tons of manifest from Spokane, WA to Laurel, MT on the descent of Winston Hill will be the next challenge for the five veteran EMD's. |
