With severe storms approaching from the west, a BNSF coal train negotiates the tight curve in Lombard Canyon west of Lombard, Montana, on June 20, 2014. Shortly after this photograph, we were chased off the canyon rim by frequent lightning—not a good place to be in that sort of weather.
