Here you see some fun at the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey yard in Boonton, New Jersey. The "Century Green" paint on E-8 4083, believe it or not, is completely authentic for beginning in 1961 it actually wore this color with two other units while on the roster of New York Central. I am sure most would agree that the color is not practical for railroad use and a crazy idea for a restoration. But who cares? What matters is how great it is they did this. I think the gang at URHS deserves the most creative restoration of the year! Lighting by URHS supporter‭ ‬Frank Etzel and his team.‭
