An 'Endeavour' DMU set rolls into Newcastle station with a local service from the Hunter Valley. The Pacific Ocean can just be glimpsed in the background. At the time of writing, this scene is set to dramatically change on Boxing Day 2014 - with the line into Newcastle being closed and the land sold off in a corrupt deal with developers.
