For the third time this week, Amtrak's Empire Builder detours through Willmar between Fargo and St Paul. A large derailment near Wadena has BNSF shuffling traffic through Minnesota, inclulding the eastbound Builder.
This train, which runs between Chicago and Seattle and Portland, takes its name from James J. Hill, who founded the Great Northern Railroad and extended it from Minnesota to the Pacific Coast.
