The southbound Palmetto passes under the classic Atlantic Coast Line signal bridge at Contentnea Creek along the south end subdivision. The signal bridge was replaced in 2013.
Three north-south routes run through North Carolina. Auto Train comes by, too. Also, the State of North Carolina sponsors the Piedmont service and supports the Carolinian.
