Passenger train Tashkent - Denau. August 24, 2007 is the official date of opening line "Tashguzar - Boysun - Kumkurgan". This line goes bypassing Turkmenistan. So it is allows to carry out direct railroad traffic to Afghanistan. It is the first rail line, which has been built there in the highlands. It crosses the ridge with height near 1800 meters, which forms the natural border between Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions. Length of railway tracks with slope 10-18,5 percent is about 64 kilometers, and with slope 5-10 percent is about 35 kilometers. 37 bridge, one tunnel and one gallery were built on the line.
