Remarks & Notes

These 80,000 lbs 3 foot gauge coal hopper cars are seen near the location of the East Broad Top Railroad Coal Washing Plant in Mt. Union PA. These cars, along with a hundred or so brethren, have sat here since April 13, 1956 when the railroad shut down. The wobbly 3 three rail track is being rebuilt for operation.
