| Typical mid-1980s coal train power, a CNW SD40-2 leads two UP SD40-2s with a train of Powder River loads across the river and into Illinois. The SD50s and 60s were just around the corner, as were the GE models that would result in EMD losing its dominance of U.S. diesel production. |
