Remarks & Notes

The recently rerouted Vermonter crosses the Connecticut River from Holyoke to Chicopee on the former Boston & Maine. The old mills of Holyoke line the bank of the river. The Vermonter was moved to this routing on December 28th, 2014, ending Amtrak's 28 year absence from the former B&M route.
