    Remarks & Notes
EMD leaders has been pretty rare along the western region of the BNSF transcon. Yet, this 8500 series SD70ACe has been assigned to pull this Houston, TX to Los Angeles, CA stack train. The sound of the 710 EMD motor seem to over power the common Evolution Series locomotives sounds as they crawl at snail speed over the Arizona Divide at Flagstaff. Luckily, the summit (7,335 ft) can be seen from cab at this point, so this guy would be flying soon enough.
