| The Cedar Rapids local backs into A-yard to quit for the day. In the background is the 6th Street Power Plant owned by Alliant Energy. This plant was decommissioned in 2008 after the heavy flood damage. Now Alliant Energy has a contractor tearing the old plant down. This plant was built in 1888, and alot of photos from days gone by have this recognizable building in the background. Be strange to see an open space once the plant is completely torn down. |
