Remarks & Notes

Almost at the end of their day, the YV02 crew passes the 1880 depot (now home to a small museum) a few miles from their destination of the NS Winston-Salem yard. Rural hall was once a junction between the Atlantic & Yadkin line from Greensboro to Mt Airy and the Southern branch from Winston-Salem to N. Wilkesboro. The A&Y line north to Mt Airy is now part of the Yadkin Valley but has been abandoned south of here to Greensboro.
