The two lonely Re 4/4 II in "Swiss Express" paint scheme, # 11108 and 11109, are together pulling the 15 car "Venice Simplon-Orient-Express" (VSOE) from Basel via the Gotthard into Chiasso station, border to Italy. Thanks to a short message of a good colleague and a trip across Switzerland this photo was possible in the sunny Ticino, while on the north side of the Alps it was raining.
