Remarks & Notes
Recently, General Electric has been testing their new Tier 4 demonstrator units across BNSF's Transcon. On June 24th, GECX 2028 was being tested as a lead unit on a hot Los Angeles, CA to Willow Springs, IL Z9 intermodal train. With all five units online, these locomotives have no problem hustling over 7,400 feet of UPS mail across northern Arizona through Valentine on a dry summer day.
