| On a hot afternoon, two ex-Southern Pacific GEs are on the point of tied-down manifest 348 at Mecaslin Street. The rear of the train is hanging out under the former Southern Railway station on Peachtree Street, which is now used by Amtrak as the Atlanta stop for the Crescent. Once a new crew arrives, they will knock off their handbrakes and fight traffic toward Chattanooga. |
