| In the last week of diesel suburban working in Auckland, an ADL/ADC set rests at Pukekohe, the southern-most extent of Auckland Transport operations on the North Island Main Trunk line. This particular location is not included in the electrification scheme, and will still be served by a diesel shuttle from Papakura. These railcars entered service on the Perth suburban network in Western Australia in 1982, before being shipped to New Zealand a decade later to operate in Auckland. |
