| One of the more interesting unit trains to be witnessed over the former D&H Line is this James E. Strates carnival equipment move out of Burlington Vermont bound for Danville Virginia. NS supplied the power(off the Pan Am at Ayer) with two freshly outshopped SD80MACs nos; NS 7218 & 7224(former CSXT 4591 & CSXT 4598 nee CR 4104 & CR 4121) to haul the train to it's destination. Delays on it's arrival to NY and departure out of Mechanicville Yard put this move in a nice afternoon daylight window through the north end of the CP freight Main from Mohawk Yard to Binghamton on a beautiful, crisp day of sad rememberance. |
