Some heritage being shown on the SVRR. Here sits Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad GP9 6512 that has been repainted into its former B&O paint. Prior to the Shenandoah Valley Railroad existing, the track belonged to the Chesapeake Western. Before the CW took over this location in 1942, the Baltimore and Ohio ran through here. So it is nice to see a former B&O locomotive running on former B&O trackage.
The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia boasts some impressive scenery and trains, some of the best in the state. This album is for all photos taken in the Shenandoah Valley.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
