| Climbing out of Rock River, a lengthy eastbound manifest digs into the grade, part of Union Pacific's Overland Route realignment of 1901 to correct the winding grades of the original Pacific Railroad route. That original route diverges from the current main line not far from my location, rejoining the current alignment just east of Medicine Bow. |
